Tea, Bubbly, Coffee and Cake will be available to purchase on site throughout the day to help raise funds for the Festival's educational programme.
Join us as we celebrate the music, dance and rhythms of Latin America with events throughout the day.
This ticket is for the 'Afro-Brazilian Percussion with Newton Peres' (10:00-11:30am).
Additional ticketing for for the 'Learn to Salsa Dance!' Workshop(12:30-1:30pm) and the live music concert with Baque Trovão + Cores Do Samba + Viva La Tradition (3:30-6:30pm).
So popular we had to put on two workshops last year! Come and learn to play Maracatu and other rhythms from Northeast Brazil in this hands-on workshop with Newton Peres, born and raised in Recife and with more than 18 years of experience teaching Maracatu nationally and internationally. Instruments provided. Please bring a set of earplugs. Children (<18y) must be accompanied by an adult. Early booking advised as places are limited!
