Saxophonists Sam Miles and Tim Boniface lead an energetic dive into classic hard bop material, original tunes and stylistic arrangements. With a heavyweight rhythm section of Ted Morcaldi (guitar), Joel Humann (bass) and Joe Taylor (drums), this will be a superb evening of expressive and exciting musicianship and fabulous on stage interaction. 


The Lab on Regent Street is home to the high quality Sunday Sessions which feature some of the top players in UK jazz. Enjoy high quality cocktails in its modern twist on a classic 1920s interior just perfect for jazz. 

Highly respected multi-instrumentalist Tim Boniface delivers a powerful and irrepressibly swinging sound on both alto and tenor saxophones. In addition to his acclaimed jazz suites, Tim’s recent collaborations include Tony Kofi, Polly Gibbons, Tara Minton, James Pearson, Phil Merriman, and star vocalist Irene Serra, with whom he has developed a project based on the music of Dexter Gordon and Nancy Wilson.


Award-winning saxophonist Sam Miles’ virtuosity, creativity and melodic imagination make him a sought after musician both live and in the studio. Sam plays tenor with the Tom Green Septet, and has also worked with the James Taylor Big Band, Misha Abbado Group and the Miles/Xenopoulos Quartet as well as recently developing a show based on the music of Stan Getz.
