Evan Parker is a true pioneer of freely improvised music and a genuine innovator on the saxophone. His mastery of circular breathing, multiphonics, harmonics, and much more besides never fails to be dazzling, but still more remarkable is his sustained dedication to the possibilities of spontaneous music creation.

As well as collaborating with all the greats of free jazz and free improvisation, Parker has also worked with musicians such as Scott Walker, Robert Wyatt, and David Sylvian, and can be heard on the soundtrack of the recent Oscar-winning film The Brutalist. Stewart Lee has said that “if you’ve ever been tempted by free improvisation, Parker is your gateway drug”.
