Led by internationally renowned Guitar Legend John Etheridge, ‘Blue Spirits’ is completed by Pete Whittaker (organ), and special guest, George Double (drums)

Blue Spirits Trio, came about through John’s love of the perennially attractive combination of Electric Guitar and Organ.

 

Blue Spirits have a take on this well-known combination in a way that connects with the bluesier, intense side of John’s playing. There are plenty of typical swing elements, augmented by soulful ballads and fiery funk outings. The aim is to groove and move! This band has been popular on the club circuit for many years and always delivers.

Drawing on a vast reservoir of musical experience spanning 54 years, Etheridge distils the bluesier side of his musical world in a repertoire that manifests intensity and emotion as its main quality, with subtlety, fluidity and interaction as central. Pete Whittaker is a superb accompanist and soloist and drummer George Double is celebrated for his drive and invention. 

 

The repertoire is edgy and engaging with a forceful drive and bravura performances….A must!
