Under-14s should be accompanied by an adult.
Cambridge Jazz Festival are proud to welcome multi-award winning composer and trombonist, Orphy Robinson, MBE as Artist in Residence.
Orphy Robinson MBE, Visiting Fellow at Jesus College Cambridge, is Cambridge Jazz Festival 2025's Artist in Residence and will be leading this exclusive workshop on improvisation. This workshop will offer a neutral space to improvise, welcoming instrumentalists and singers from all genres and all abilities, from seasoned jazz players to complete newcomers to jazz.
The session will begin with a plenary to establish themes and then break out into groups to work independently, bringing this back for a culminating performance and reflection.
